Peter Marshall Provide Steelwork For World-Class Sequencing Laboratory

Peter Marshalls have been chosen to provide steelwork along with Billington Structures for the £27m world-class sequencing facility for Genomics England and Sanger Institute.

Kier are the main contractor on this project to erect a state-of-the-art genome-sequencing hub consisting of a three-storey laboratory and two-storey Energy Centre with the inclusion of a North elevation feature truss and single storey car park.

Other group companies easi-edge and hoard-it were also chosen to provide safety barriers and site hoarding respectively.

The Sanger Sequencing Laboratory in Hinxton, Cambridge is part of The Sanger Institute – one of the world’s foremost centres for genomic science. Installation is expected to be complete by January 2016.
